2024: Supporting the Future of our Young People

2024 brought a renewed commitment by Search Institute to build and support ecosystems for youth thriving. The issues young people are facing, such as social isolation and systemic inequality, are increasingly complex. The deficit-based narrative continues to manifest in new ways, leaving youth feeling overlooked by the systems meant to support them. Youth thrive when they are supported by systems that value their strengths, provide resources, and foster a sense of belonging and purpose. Collective action is essential to achieving meaningful, lasting change. No one person can ensure that all young people have the resources, opportunities, and relationships needed to thrive. But together we can.

With that in mind, we are sharing insights and strategies resulting from our work this year, with a focus on supporting youth ecosystems.
